The Season- Week 17 Recap

Tuesday, 03 January 2012 12:38

What a regular season!  The NFL fans showed a lot of intelligence (some more than others) and commitment over the last few months. The last week (Week 17) of The Season was our most competitive week of The Season and every team ended the regular season with a high score. Let's take a look at all the action, great games of Week 17 and the final Power Rankings of The Season.

Exciting Week 17 games:nyg.png

Miami Dolphins 20,673 - New York Jets 20,259

Miami Dolphins fans ended The Season by squeezing out a close victory against the NYJ fans. Just like their NFL team, the Miami Dolphins fans surged late and ended the season with a good win, however it was too little too late to make the playoffs. Perhaps Miami should recruit some Jacksonville fans for next year...

New York Giants 20,705 - Dallas Giants 20,648

The New York Giants fans decided to mimic their NFL team and put themselves in a MUST WIN situation against the Dallas Cowboys for the last game of the season. Win and make the playoffs. Giants fans, just like their NFL team, pulled out the victory. 57 Points separated these two teams, and the heart-breaking season for Cowboys fans continues.

Green Bay Packers 21,948 - Detroit Lions 20,929

Revenge feels so good! Green Bay avenged their Thanksgiving loss, and will go into the Playoffs with a little bit of momentum.

Kansas City Chiefs 22,974 - Denver Broncos 21,730

Denver fans lose their last game of the season to the Chiefs and still make the Playoffs. The Denver Broncos of the NFL lose their last game of the regular season and still made the playoffs. Wow. Crazy. This was a game that Denver could've won. They better hope for some great bandwagoners, because they play KC in the first round of the playoffs.

Jacksonville Jaguars 19,638 - Indianapolis Colts 18,686

Really, Jacksonville fans? What is going on in Jacksonville every 3-4 weeks that causes this dip in your score? Cheer Up Indianapolis fans- Andrew Luck is on the way and you have a year to get to a bar and play Buzztime to get ready for next season!

Cream Of The Crop- 20,000+ Teams:tb.png

#1 Tampa Bay Bucs (16-0) - 25,258 average

#2 Houston Texans (15-1) - 23,770 average

#3 Washington Redskins (16-0) - 22,078 average

#4 Oakland Raiders (13-3) - 20,974 average

Congratulations to the four teams this season to average 20,000+ for the entire season. You were the cream of the crop of the regular season and proved that you have the biggest brains at the bar. I find it a little entertaining that only one of you have a team in the NFL playoffs, but that really isn't in your control. Good luck in the Playoffs!

And The Dumbest NFL Fan Base is....

Buffalo Bills (0-16) - 13,922 average

Arizona Cardinals (0-16) – 12,953 average
Atlanta Falcons (0-16) - 10,598 average

atl.pngThree winless team this season. Ouch. However, according to the numbers the dumbest NFL fan base is...The Atlanta Falcons. The good news is that your team is in the Playoffs and could very easily beat the NYG. As far as The Seasongoes, Buzztime is available on facebook and at the bar year round, and the more you play the more you know. Practice makes perfect.
